Our story
In 1997 I was a Sophomore in high school when my parents asked me if I would be willing to go to nail school to help them at their salon. Doing nails sounded fun, so I thought, “why not!”
Fast forward 25 years of working and running different salons, and here I am, still loving what I do. The nail industry has changed drastically, but what stayed consistent was the stigma associated with it. As many of you may know, nail salons are a dime a dozen. Most salons seem to focus on the number of clients they can get in and out of their doors per day. The faster the service, the more customers they can service. While many techs have mastered the practice of 20-minute full sets, it’s not to say that providing such hasty service doesn’t have its downfalls. Quality, care, and experience are just a few things that often get compromised. This is where the term chop-shop originated.
I started Girl Code Nails to do our part to try and break that stigma, and bring the care back to nail care. Our motto, “Friends don’t let friends go to chop shops,” is at the core of our values. We are here to treat everyone that walks through our doors the same way we would treat our best friend, sister, cousin, or mother, with care and their best interest at heart.
I am excited to welcome you to your new favorite nail salon. We strive to provide helpful and attentive service, use non-toxic products, stay up to date on the latest nail trends, and offer quality and long-lasting work that is most conscious of your nail health. I promise you’ll come for the nails, but you’ll stay for a good time!
